By the way, nice Mare's Leg! :D I'd like one myself!

yea I know. need to get one.

The mare's legs are really fun. They don't have any real use beside being really cool looking and fun to shoot. :D

You gotta love guns like the Mare's Legs that are just fun to have! :) I'm actually thinking of getting one once I get a job and save some money. Do you have any recommendations? :D

I think henry and rossi are the only ones making the mares legs. I have not played with the henry. Why I picked up the rossi over the henry, is I like the side loading more then the top end loading from the top of the tube. Plus the rossi is cheaper then the henry and the rossi has more caliber chooses.
Also not sure what state you live in and how old you are but the mares leg is a pistol not a rifle, so some states have different rules on pistols buying.

Then I'll have to look into a Rossi, they sound more practical. =]

Ah, I should have figured they were classified as pistols rather than rifles. That doesn't mean anything to me, I'm 22 now, and as far as I know, they're perfectly legal in my state, so all I need to do is just save money. Thanks for the information!

yea, I'm just a fan of the side loading more then the top loading. I'm sure the Henry's rifle are great rifles. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the shiny brass. I do like that they make them with the octagonal barrel, now that would be the reason why I would buy a Henry.

Yea, some states have different rules for buying pistols vs rifles and some states are just bad for buying anything that shoots a bullet.
Saving money is one of the hardest things to do, :) only second to what to buy next. I'm in the same boat, saving money, but I don't know what I want next.

I can definitely relate, I also prefer the sideloading lever-actions as opposed to the toploading ones. I will also agree that the shiny brass does look a little gaudy. As nice as Henrys are, I really don't have much interest in owning one. xD

It's pretty confusing when you look at the different state laws. As for saving money, ugh, it's really annoying, I'm finally over the age of 21 (something I've been waiting for since I was 13, so I could buy guns). But now I'm just a broke, unemployed college student with no means of buying anything, not even the most affordable weapons out there. I guess I'm just gonna have to wait until I'm older and have a job. v_v

Yea, I would never buy one, but if some one gave me one, I would take it.

PA has some pretty straight forward gun laws, but some of the hunting laws, can get confusing.
Hey most of us start out being broke college students. Once you get a job, things get better.
